This is short notice, but on Thursday, March 11, at 7:00 PM in 100 Willamette Hall at the University of Oregon, Eugene, I will be reading a few of my translations of Chilean poet Jesus Sepulveda's book, Hotel Marconi, and then we will watch the 70-minute film made in Chile about the same book (you can see the trailer on-line under the same title). $3:00-5:00 donation. The money will go to the filmmaker's family and community of Penco, which was destroyed by the quake and the resulting tsunami.

Wilbur--The bass and the sass both washed up inland in a tangle of limbs, some being trees.

Damn. Jesus Sepulveda is a great writer. I read "The Garden of Peculiartites." Such a great treatise on our troubled times. Nice work Paul. How can I get ahold of any other English versions of his work?
