Wasn’t going to the beach this weekend
the forecast looked pretty crappy
however Sunday the conditions on the cam
looked decent headed out in the morn
bootiful day
grabbed my board headed south of the contest area
got some small but fun ones
came in chatted with some of my local
compadres who were competing in the proam
the only thing of note was
that sat nites shindig was was xcellent
whist chatting wind went from calm
to perfectly offshore looked pretty nice
went to beach house quaffed a couple IPAs
watched a little bball
headed back to witness howling nw winds
decided to head home

I went for the first time and had a blast... can't say that I really watched much of the competition but got to surf some good waves with family and enjoyed taking our 5wk old on his first camping trip. Waves were definitely better saturday (chest to head high) but sunday wasn't too bad either (waist to chest). Saw alot of familiar faces from the central coast and the weather was good too.
