Why do we always get CA's refuse?

A young bull SL swam under my board today which sparked this conversation in the lineup:

"The state wasn't allowing me to feel happy..."

If this lady and a CA sea lion were hanging over a cliff...
Wouldn't be a hard choice.

ceedog, i agree that woman's statement is rather questionable. but at the same time, as a libertarian aren't you sympathetic when 'the state' intrudes on people's freedom?

personally, i'd say f*ck marriage all together. i don't need 'the state' to authenticate my comittement to someone. but until that day, let her get what everyone else gets... there's no doubt they were f*cked around by fist being allowed to marry and then have to take two-steps back.

i thought you'd have a bit more sympathy for that scenario?

instead a reference to letting her drop off a cliff?

Enough with the obligatory PC chastising, you sensitives take everything so literally. I say yes to civil unions. But also think that people don't need the state to mandate acceptance of a bond that is contradictory to the term they wish to covet. I should have started this thread in the 'don't matter' page.

ceedog, well in this case, to be honest the humor didn't seem that obvious or funny, so i had to ask. and thanks. i agree with your position.

now, the real reason i ask, is i wanted to know what my chances are of a nice bit of honest, no strings attached buggery, next time i run into you in the bushes at HC.
