Here's the deal...
It's winter...
The truly charging chargers are charging (primarily 1 spot)...
But they don't own or know how to use computers...
Or they are on facebook...
Although the new timeline will surely trip them up...
Others are not so fortunate...
They watch the forecasts and buoys diligently...
Only to be rewarded with reports of hurricane force winds...
Combined with 20 foot (not Hawaiian...but still big) surf...
If you decide to go check it, and check the 1 spot...
You better be ready, you might get out...
But getting in will be brutal and you probably won't get alot of waves...
Also, make sure you have a leash that was made in the last 6 months...
Or your board will be missing fins and you'll be crawling cobbles...
Also, if you have the misfortune of having gotten old (you know...time...passing)...
Suddenly, tacos at The Stand seem to be a really good idea about now...
Anyway...I for one am watching...
When I see winds that won't rip my face off...
Waves that won't result in a helicopter ride...
And when Farking Work gives me a chance...
I am on it...
But it's been over a month...
For me, between injuries, work and weather...
This has been the shittiest winter in memory...
And I've been surfing since I was 5 years old (I'm 50 now)...
I have high hopes for the spring when things finally lay down...
But just because I haven't been surfing doesn't mean I've quit...
Just like because I haven't posted here much of late...
Doesn't mean I've quit...
Just means I don't have much to say about surfing right now...
That's like my opinion man.
