Now I'll never know if I'm allowed to surf the south coast.

Doc----------I would say you are probably NOT allowed to surf the So. Coast.

Rampant Commercialism

Postby McDing » Mon Dec 28, 2009 6:54 pm

Yeah, I'm currently a stealth Oregonian. But I'm not the "enforcer" of the South Coast, nor am I the keeper of the soul of Oregon Surfing. We'll leave that up to others if you know what I mean.

Certainly not me...
I am merely keeper of the snark...
Are you surfing?
Or soft from living in Hawaii?

There's no enforcer down here, we police ourselves.

LBer or Sber, pm? Is he the one with the puka necklace? Or the one who complains profusely about the surf sucking between, what most would call, decent rides.

Only been vibed/regulated in OR once, and that was 15 years ago.

Snark Enforcement

Postby McDing » Tue Dec 29, 2009 8:27 pm

So Doc-----------What the hell is a "snark" anyway? Jack London sailed on the 'Snark" once around the Horn. Or are "snarks" akin to snipes? The kind that Cub and Boy Scouts look for on weekend camp-outs? No mind. I think Ceedog is in a paralell universe and oblivious to the "bad-boy" of Charleston.

Snark; also snarky or snarkiness.

Use of sarcasm or malice in speech. Commonly found in the OSP community.

Occassionally mistaken for genuine hostility and offense taken.

Being oblivious is a self-defense mechanism, I guess its worked for the last 9 months as I have not been regulated yet.
