I thought the "knee deep on the rocks" comment was a good indicator too.

Saturday, dipped on any sort of responsibility and went surfing. Surf was really fun, weather was not nearly as bad as normal, eagles were soaring, 5'8'' twin fin older than me didn't soar for me quite as well. the first bottom turn on a good wave reminded me why i like surfing thrusters so much, but then i soon realized why twin fins are cool, too. I generally hate surfing where the surf happened, but it was free on saturday and i was summoned. i feel much much better...

Lovely day, wind aside. A pile of rocks provided some shade from the stout N. winds, enough to enjoy some long rights.

My favorite book, Sometimes a Great Notion. Cool movie too.
A glimpse of Oregon in the early seventies.
What the heck it has to do with wave riding, i don't know.
Oh wait. Riding logs.
Oh well, whatever. Never mind.

and... the water is warmmmmmm. yes. beach life is awesome.

Any OSP'ers down at SS last night?

I got in the water at 6:00 and surfed till 9:00.

I got about 30-40 waves that averaged in size from waist high to chest high.
Some waves walled up for a bit but most were crumbling. Caught 4-5 waves and rode them all the way in to the beach.

Water was really warm. Winds were light. Rain was HEAVY.

Stoke was high because really riding any waves in almost any condition is better than sitting at an office desk or changing diapers.

Had some amazingly fun surfs the last 8 days in a row.
This a.m. was one of the best. Nice clean dumpy head high beach break.
Despite have my hip replaced 6 months ago, having a bad case of patellar tendonitis in my knee and separated ribs I'm still keeping it real.

I swept the estuary with a 25mph headwind today. I was able to go forward part of the time.

I really love how the nicer the weather, and shiittier the waves the more people come out to get lost in the sauce. I got a great tan today watching the charade that is surfing Southern California. I would rather cut my feet on old beer bottles and razor blades while being chased by a black bear, robbed by a redneck and raped by an indian to catch one half azzed wave then to ever listen to another Brah describe his 'epic' wave aka ball buster.
The service here sucks.

Surfed shifty bumpy crossoffshore lefts. Dumping on a shallow bar lots of closeouts almost made it out of one coverup, the beers definately helped make it better I got today off and its onshore I'm going golfing!

Pleasantly surprised today. Some super fun conditions with some glassy intervals. Surfed for far too long.
