ahh Mike you are making me homesick. That's my side of the island.

I've done a dozen or so downwinders with friends, starting at Maliko (or Ho'okipa for quick runs) on my various trips home. It's incredible being out there with the wind and swell pushing you along, the insane beauty of Maui all around you, and sea life swimming underneath you and along side of you.

If you ever go to Maui, let me know and I'll put you in touch with my crew of friends who do 2 or 3 downwinders a week year round. They'll hook you up.
