OB is going to start happening whithin 30 min if you leave now you should only be about 8 hours too late!

^ Waiting for the tide to drain a bit...... pretty much hating U right about now. Thought I was moving back a few months ago, but alas another failed attempt at living the dream. Again. PC on it’s best day of the year comes close to OB on an average inner bar day.

And don’t forget to grab a Mollusk T after your seshwon G.

EDIT report from Soloos whearabouts. Not here and not sayin there werent waves here either..... Calling FOTH 123......

"12:30 to 2:30 4-7 ft. consistent, slight offshores, not bad paddle, sparse and spread crowd. Doesn't get much better in these parts. Truly some "magazine waves" to be had, barrels-O-plenty...better here than what I witnessed on the live feed from the pipe contest. Would call it 'great' but don't want to seem pretentiuos. Bruce from Nor-cal Photo shot all day...over 500 pics."

We had a pretty good road trip the last couple of days. Checked it out, not expecting to get any waves since neither of us have been up there. Nothing the first day except changing my whole perspective of how it is in those parts. Day two we lucked into some chest at first; to OH waves later that tubed consistently. Third day we headed back to familiar parts and shared some HH waves with sixteen others. They were really fast and about every third one was makeable. Maybe we should have kept going since the waves look good today but I'm glad to not have to sleep under a leaking canopy and on freezing cold corrugated metal . Maybe tomorrow or next Wednesday.

Jbay SA is knee high (summer) St. Francis good, Victoria bay good too. And even the bartenders at the surf hostel in jbay have heard of blankpoint. Brazil was epic- ihle grande- will see what Uruguay is like in a months time. Been an amazing journey- lots of plastic- lots of good people and I love south Africa. A very complex society with poverty ten feet from luxury- but vibrant people. Learning a so much! Cheers all! Get on my boat! No joke.

"And even the bartenders at the surf hostel in jbay have heard of blankpoint."

I don't know why this is a surprise to anybody anymore. On the right day it's literally the best left-hand point break in the states. Maybe even the northern hemisphere sans pavones. I'm not trying to be a smart @ss to lil' snowy by any means, far from it. Stoked you're out and about and seeing the world. But that spot is no secret. The only reason it feels the way that it does is because there's a local contingent there that seriously holds it down. More power to 'em. I've been in the water in Baja and on three separate days have had guys from South Africa, Australia and France ask me about that spot.

"Is it really that localized?"

"Yes."

"Are the locals that heavy?"

"Yes."

And so on and so forth.

I hope it stays that way. Even if that means getting yelled out or kicked out of the water or called names. It's nice to know that a spot can still live up to its reputation.

Made the pilgrimage today...
Found some soft waist high waves...
The sun came out...
People were smiling not frowning...
Got many waves, rights and lefts...
My last wave was my best and longest...
Outside set wave that connected all the way...
To step off in knee deep water.

Cam? Ah no.
Can't trust that cam.
People trusting that cam are just going to waste a lot of gas driving here.
No need to come waste a bunch of gas.

We wil take care of those unridden waves for you.
