Why would you do that? It was only "head in a half at best?" Didn’t want to walk down the point in fear of the trolls lurking, possibly giving a little verbal assault or a rock toss? Thought you had eanred your respect mate

4 consecutive days of perfection. wearing the shorty suit, no boots, no sleeves....luvin' the juice, lots of sea lions, snapped a leash, long jetty swim against heavy rip... feared for life, currents, animals of the water, out of breath... went to car, retrieved another leash, back out for more OH sets, hollow, lots of room.... lots of thick walls, only the locals out these days. goddam, love it so much.

but dammm the north wind today, water getting cooler.... still lots of love from the sea. crazy. sea lion barks filtering in through open windows at night, dreams of silver water, piles and piles of perfect glassy wonder.

Some waves today...
Lovin' the sun...
Think I saw Dub's boxer...
Sitting on the beach...
World's oldest kook...
Kooked out on his left...
And dinged my surfboard...
It was my own fault...
I saw him assing out early...
But didn't give him...
A wide enough berth.

I have competition in the oldest kook division?

Was not there.

Summer of 2010 finally delivered..... in the fall. Been a great month or more of surf.

Same; kinda wish I had a smaller board, 1/4" less on the rocker woulda been just right.

I had high hopes for sunny offshore head high peelers yesterday afternoon but the swell had dropped more than I had hoped, skies turned grey, my spot of choice was small and crowded, I opted for spot B, too much tide, warbling, weak, mushy beach break. Right day, wrong spot at the wrong time...

I missed windows on Wednesday as well...
Dodged outta Seattle to see if I could find SoJdF minis...
No such luck, even on a 10'6...
Checked a couple Oly Pen peaks...
Some promise, but logs in the lineup...
Lost coast level solo surf for sure...
Always kept heading south looking for what I wanted...
Started to run low on time...
And made the run to WP...
Cove looked good...
But top to bottom dumpers in thigh deep water...
And only 9' and up in the car...
Open beach had a couple out...
But howling hard offshores...
Were blowing the waves down by 4pm...
Skunk of epic proportions.
