has anybody, anywhere, ever surfed a wave? I mean, really surfed a wave? I seriously doubt it.

I sure as hell haven't.

I have always referred to it as "surfing"...
Now I am full of doubt.

^ How do you know when you blow the tail out backside when your looking down at the trough of the wave? Esp when you’re all like veeeeritcal dude. Guess if your bro or sis saw it from da back and was like, sick tail blow! I ask, because once my bro asked me if I blew the tail out on a BS snap. He was paddling back out when I hit it. I said “don’t know?” You saw it not me, I was looking down for my re-enrty, always do. Guess ya kinda feel it slide out? But quads always slide out. So jus curious dudley.

Otherwise howbout the south swell?

Ripped so hard, all the locals went and got the mayor and on the shore she like, gave me the keys to the city! They were going to rename the town pra_ggresion city but I was like, "Naw bra's, pra_ggresion is just a stupid name I made up for the stupid internet." So it's all good.

Got lots of rights with rockyvonton. Waves were pretty good till 12:00 when the wind overcame the impeding headland. I really need to fix up the shoulder and knee and chest on my suit cause the water was freeezing and filled my suit like a balloon on every duck dive. Second session I scored a couple decent drops and one good ride, otherwise I was blowing every other attempt cause I couldn't feel from my fingers to my shoulders. Thumpiest 8 second period I've ever surfed.

Quad u usually aren't sure but my friend happened to see it and give props its nice when that happens because turns usually feel about ten times better than they look.
Quads do slide out easier I think they have their limits especially with sliding top turns they slide out too easy where the center fin of a thruster will grab coming out of the slide allowing u too regain control and stay ahead of the. Section. But hey whatever gets u stoked to surf.

all depends on how you have your quad set up. if you got the mckee set up with the rear fins closer in and straighter you'll have more control.

anyway, surfed a quad today. it was the right choice. i didn't bust my tail free like quag but still... fun times. nice to be back in the pacific. bummed to be back in a 5mm though.

OK... how was the SUP fishing trip?

One word... wind. The wind had its way with us. We were able to get to some outside reefs no problem, but the wind was visious and made it difficult to fish effectively. Maybe a sea anchor setup or something. Gave up fishing and paddled back in for some waves. Had lots of fun with good company. Sure gonna miss speelyei and family when they move away.

Saw some waves south of the equator. It looked cold and grey like the NW so I ordered another pisco sour and stumbled through my spanish.

Today was less than stellar for waves some racy bumpy lefts with the odd good section. The weather was gorgeous which helped make up for the crowds, and I even snagged a few decent ones. Nice talent on the beach on the way back to the car didn't hurt either.

While standing out in the lineup today I wondered what was better, small waves with offshore or big waves with onshore wind. At least it was sunny and warm.
