I was skunked all week...
Of course, I never left the valley...
But today I did...
And while it was nothing to reminisce about...
There were a few fun bumps...
That showed me the way...
Even a couple that showed me the bottom.

I took the south swell bait. Shared waist to chest high close out double ups with 50 other jonzers. Fall sucks...

Yep, we did too. This was one time that I'm glad not to report that I wish I had brought my longboard. Although; it was shortboardable, but a lot more fun on the schoolbus. Anyways, shared waves with SG and EV for three hours. Offshore until the low pressure made land whence we got out. I'm certain a few of the sets were of groundswell origin.

Some unicorns spotted today, no Leprechauns though. Wish the wind and swell weren't coming from the same direction.

tiny, glassy, top-to-bottom closeouts. Hey, the water was warm, and the water was clear and there was no wind. Billions of waves ridden. Lookin' chunky by the weekend.

Alright, all those who complain about it being "small" should be content for the next few days...

Yeah, I'm the first one to admit that my personal size range from "big enough to be entertaining" to "hell no" isn't much. Say 3' faces to head and a half (depends on the wave). Much of the next few days looks like the ocean will fall in the "hell no" range around here, but I have travel plans to mitigate that. Maybe I'll see you in the water? I'll be riding one of two obviously home-shaped boards.

Paid some dues today. Got a few that were definitely better than anything since the malaise began, but it felt like I was surfing like crap. Anyways FINALLY! :D
