1)weird
2)don't believe it

And Gills--nice work! It is NOT easy. Gaining weight, on the other hand, is both fun and easy. But everything else about it is bad (generally speaking).

AND....we are still waiting for the promised F.P. weigh-in. I'm starting to think I can't believe everything that guy says, but I'm going to give him 8 more chances.

well, I've been studying for my comprehensive exams, trying to get stuff published and partying like it's 1999 when not doing either of the former. The result is a midriff bulge composed of teriyaki chicken, beer, wine, and cheese unlike any I've worn before. I seem to gain and get rid of these yearly, but at the end of each summer it's just a little bit bigger than the last. So, it's time to do something about it.

Tonight I hit the pool for the first time in a while and swam 1600m in mostly 100m chunks. Felt really great. Really really great. For dinner a salad with vinaigrette and kalamata olives with a quart of OJ. Tomorrow maybe more pool then some other tasty food. With any luck I'll be in the Hawaii ironman whenever that rolls around.
