Do any of you fixie riders cycle for fun or just transpo?

mostly transpo...and I do make excuses to run errands...but I'm sacking away some cash to get an Ira Ryan single speed (freewheel) cyclecross bike to throw on the roof for when the surf is crappy.

it'll be a flip flop hub, but I don't like riding fixed offroad. Too technical. Plus, I'm not going to own too fixed gear bikes.

tips:

play basketball

get off the couch and do something

drink light beer at social gatherings

if you have a dog, it wouldn't hurt to take it for a walk

fixie? that's cool

read instead of watching tv, it will inspire you to get outside

listen to faster paced music, adrenaline keeps you going

Explain how it's not socially acceptable to pee in a 7 kilometer long pool but it's somehow okay to whiz while in the reverse warrior posish.

What are you going for here? The rush, appetite suppressant, or what? You might want to start with a good night's sleep. Weight control, a pep in your step--I highly recommend it.
