day three of the summer yesterday. price of breeding. ended up between the big rock and a hard place. water was cold, maybe even under 50. no wind. waste high on avg. starting getting the 7'11 to cutback for me. that was fun. when the toes got to cold to make any kind of backside turn, it was time to go. met a nice head in the water. hope your night in the woods went well.

First oregon surf in over two years on Sunday and Monday. Some really fun waves up on the north coast. Sunday night was bigger (few head high and maybe head+ sets) but monday morning/afternoon was cleaner. Water was cold as tits but managed to miss the crowds. Also nice to look at something besides freeways/parking lots/multi million dollar homes from the lineup. Will certainly be back in the winter to escape the bonanza down south....

Last day as a coastie is Aug 6. Then I'll just be another out-of-area property owner living in the valley and clogging up the breaks occasionally.

What he said. Fast little lefts, lot's of fun in the AM. Gonna try for another AM sesh tomorrow and then off to Alaska for about 10 days for biz and pleasure (fishing - yes!). Speaking of fishing - paddled out on one of the local lakes and scored a couple nice trout yesterday.
