several thousand meters in the pool without pissing myself but couldn't make it through a yoga class or two

Explain how it's not socially acceptable to pee in a 7 kilometer long pool but it's somehow okay to whiz while in the reverse warrior posish.

What are you going for here? The rush, appetite suppressant, or what? You might want to start with a good night's sleep. Weight control, a pep in your step--I highly recommend it.

matte, ok for camping make it with cold water, don't drink too much, has alot of chromium, you may want to try makka

if you mix a tble spoon of makka with milk and a bannana, tastes like coffee with b viatimins, then light a fire

thanks barnabus.............been making a tea bag of mate in the mornings with a teaspoon of honey. Finding it has the pick-me-up of coffee.....without coffee's ugly side effects. (painful swolen nodes, acid stomach & caffeine withdrawal)

Now.......

Anyone out there ever use the Alexander Technique?

Anyone with experience.....your insight would be appreciated.

I thought the Alexander technique had something to do with singing--or maybe it was with breathing?

from alexandertechnique.com......
"The Alexander Technique is a method that works to change (movement) habits in our everyday activities. It is a simple and practical method for improving ease and freedom of movement, balance, support and coordination. The technique teaches the use of the appropriate amount of effort for a particular activity, giving you more energy for all your activities. It is not a series of treatments or exercises, but rather a reeducation of the mind and body. The Alexander Technique is a method which helps a person discover a new balance in the body by releasing unnecessary tension. It can be applied to sitting, lying down, standing, walking, lifting, and other daily activities..."

I want to know if anyone has taken classes? .....good results? ....bad results? Who was your teacher? Was it expensive? How many classes/sessions did you need? Any of you back pain sufferers try these classes instead of opting for surgery?

alexander technique

Postby barnabus » Thu Jan 31, 2008 10:02 pm

I was playing drums in the woods, this older hippy lady came up to me and asked if I wanted to take her class. I told her I didn't have any money but she told me I could take it for free. Her class was in the Alexander technique.

I remember everytime I left class, I felt real calm but funky at the same time. It's worth it.
