Airs are great most of the guys you see in videos now are sticking them on a regular basis so the waste a wave arguement is kind of null and void.
Taj, Dane, Kerr, Jordy, Goodall, and Dion Agius are my faves when it comes to airs, with full rotation 3's, corked spins, passion pops, kerrupts, and rodeos all starting to be pulled with regularity. A good air is a beautiful thing much like a good turn.
Airs are friggin hard too, I've tried them more times than I care to remember and more than I care to admit given my success ratio, but have only landed a couple and they were pretty meager at best. To get good height trajectory style and keep the tail high through the air is so friggin hard I think people under estimate the difficulty because a lot of guys who do them make them look so easy.
