I do but I think there is a long way to go. Still a lot of bad airs and lots of bails. It won't be long before they become a lot more fluid and tweaked. When I was in Tofino I saw Pete Deveries, linking airs. Air, a couple of fluid pumps, air, couple of fluid pumps... very impressive and flowing. Done right, with style airs are just as good to watch as a floater or vertical turn.
Some people see trying 'tricks' as a waste of a wave. I suppose it all depends on what you want to achieve in surfing and if you want to see it 'progres.' Waves are natural launch ramps. I'm probably too over the hill to ever get airs dialed but I hope to land one or two before arthritis sets in.
