I worked with Cody and Mike for over 7 years.
I remember talking with Cody about surfing in SC and he brought this up.
I just laughed at him. Kids got mad balls on the snow and water.
I think its pretty cool they pulled it off. Doesn't look half as fun a surfing. Then again skiing isn't have as fun as snowboard either but its still a huge recreational sport and business.

I watched it with the sound off. All the while I kept asking myself, "Why don't they just learn how to surf?"

I don't know why you guys are hating?

I watched it, with the sound off, mainly because listening to these guys would be like listening to SooLoo I am sure.

What I don't get is the hate.

Laird comes out with a hydrofoil board and everyone goes "oooooohhhhh".

Surf mats, SUP's, etc all seem to get love.

These guys ski it and you all hate.

Is it the trucker hats? I can understand the hate if it is.

Hate the hat, not the skis.

Surfing will continue to be bastardized.

Cody has lived in Santa Cruz his whole life.
He surf's very well. He just happens to be a professional skier.

Tippy. I have pictures of you wearing a trucker hat.

I just don't understand the point?
Just a challenge I guess.

Clearly no advantage to having two skis----instead of one board.

Kiteboarding started on waterskiis.
Progressed to a board.

Now if you could push, step, slide out to the lineup---like on snow----that might be something.

But.

The boots=death.
