Except for restaurants and the large pier.
Oh and the clean 4-5 foot waves.

What reminds me of Oregon is the closeouts and the large hole in the sand from the outer bar to the inner bar where the wave backs off.

One more thing. You don't see 16-18 year old boys ripping like that anywhere in OR.

Can't even imagine. I grew up there. My mom would drop me off at the cliffs, and the current would take me down to the pier in about three hours, just in time for lunch. I'd pull the two bucks out of my pocket if it was still there, dripping seawater, and get 4 tacos and a coke at the jack-in-the -box, then parade up beach blvd like I was a real surfer, plastic fantastic tucked under my arm, beaver-tail flapping in the wind. The shops were absolutely the best, sand on the floor, smelling like coconut and marijuana, completely ignoring me. Fuking loved it.
