My Is Ding although my friends call me the Big Delam. See I ding boards (usually ones I borrow) and don't fix them. I ride those bastards till they sink. I'm also a complete kock 90% of the time and roam around looking for Canadians to hassle when the surf lay's down.

i started surfing too late in life but i gave it my all
for awhile
i felt terrible about all the missed job interviews
not pursuing university
relationship drama
that resulted from pursuit of the wave
then i read somewhere that a person can get a glimpse of the universe through a very tiny lens if they focus hard enough
so i found some resolution
but it comes and goes
surfing can be suffering if you let it
surfing in oregon
jesus christ...

i have had little to offer the osp but cynicism, sarcasm, negativity and a little self-deprecation.
i can't have a healthy relationship with this form of communication
and i've met some right wankers here
god bless you all

RXXL here, this is my second incarnation on the board... Had to ditch the last for being called out for "giving up the goods" on where I live and surf for the most part... The truth is I just did not want to hear the crying in the line up over one more thing... Just surf and shut up.... nuff!

Howdy,

This is Tex...becuase well, I did time extended time (2 years) surfing in the Gulf between Galveston and South Padre.

Been surfing for over 20 years mostly here in the Northwest including VI, the Straights, parts of the WA coast, all of Oregon and AK. Even when I go tropical I still miss those epic NW days, it is what I know and love the best.

Lived in Manzanita for a while, those were the days...worked at Manzanita Surf and Sail, helped Tommy Innouye shape some boards and bartended at the Duner back when they had the ping pong table. We paid $400 a month for our beach house, packed three us in there for almost two years and lived the dream.

Still have family living in town, love that spot....

Wife and two boys (4 & 6) who are dying to start surfing. I expect my water time to grow exponentially as soon as they get their wetsuits this spring.

Still do not own a long board...one day but not yet. Will ride anything from 5'10 - 7'0 and mostly it is my 6'0 custom Hammer.

RipCurl for life.

Observer of Aquabious....be sure to ask.

You bet Spent! That was a fun one for sure. He is over in Hood River now, tearing up skate parks and mountains.
It was always a BLAST surfing with Wally. He taught me a lot, and was always stoked.

Hi, I'm Lil' Snowy Plover

I went for an emasculated handle on the OSP as I'm in touch with my feminine side. I wear big sunglasses that make SooLoo think I'm gay. But c'mon, seriously, look at SooLoo, it's the pot calling the kettle black. He's definitely a topper, but he's fo sho gay.

I used to argue about politics here. Now I'm more zen about that and life in general.

I've had death threats on this board from someone much smaller than me.

I recently brokeup with a publication I helped found in order to be more involved in tackling the issue of plastic pollution in or our oceans, build a foundation centered on the cultivation of industrial hemp as a means to build economic infrastructure in developing nations, and work on some entrepreneurial new media/micro financing sites.

I've sailed across the Atlantic. I'm going to do it again in November but in the south. I will end up in in Gaz's homeland. And then the south pacific next year. I can get an environmentally minded person who wants to see the plastic problem first hand on one of these trips. But you have to raise 5k.

I like sailboats. A lot. I dream of putting big surfboards on one and just going and going and going. And growing a beard like Doc's. And having half the people who post here come sail with me for a while.

I maintain several aliases (like I might have the most) and these serve to help communicate my sundry moods. Almost everyone who posts here regularly knows my aliases. So it's fun.

OSP claim to fame: Started one fairly popular alias that at first, got a bunch of people believing me to be the second coming of Laird Hamilton, but more uneducated and dirty. Duped some hard to dupe folks.

I very much care for and like a shite-ton of folks on this board even though I pretty well suck at surfing. Folks here, despite the internet demeanor are some of the best people in Oregon in real life.

I miss hanging out with Spent and will rectify that situation.
