More stupidity, now in batches of 4.........

Postby Gazsurf » Fri Mar 26, 2010 8:11 am

A coast guard rescue of 4 surfers. I am convinced that people just don't have a clue as to what safe conditions are anymore. It's RETARDED to go out in 10' surf when the wind is blowing 20 from the west. It simply isn't fun or rewarding in the least, especially if you're a newb.....it's dangerous and ends up like this.....

Shops will rent you soft tops, that doesn't make the surf all of a sudden rideable.

The number of surfers that have gotten into trouble this week has now risen to 9!!!! NINE!!!!!!!

Three early in the week, four yesterday as seen in the video and today two boogers were airlifted to Tillamook from PC. Mitch Effin Buchanan was on scene and might give a report after he has dried off.

This shite isn't funny.

My only hope for these fools is they lose their boards to the rescue, sh*t themselves,
and never bother to go surfing again.

good riddance!

I was charging hard...
But the softtop I rented...
Seemed slow and unresponsive...
The rocks were jagged and scary...
Yet the cheers from aging tourists...
Slurping hot chowder at Mo's...
Made it seem all worthwhile...
I can't wait for a big day!

The Devil's Punchbowl

Every spring-break in Oregon, the Coast Guard rescues a sizable bunch of fools churned in late March storm-surf--
forty-mile-an-hour winds on the calmer days, points seething with rock-slosh, a lot of froth
but not much sense on the part of the novices.

We all know we go for broke come spring, and the young are riskier, not to say friskier,
so they're also forgiven for their intransigent stupidity, even if the Coast guard
doesn't need to rescue recreationists, so much

as it will be called to locate , far out in even bigger and wilder seas,
fishermen on rafts and bobbing in survival suits in the North Pacific

This shart isn't funny.

You know Mitch doesn't talk about this stuff but from what I saw he blew it, he was right there not 20 yards away and read the rip wrong and was swept past. We all watched him looking around frantically trying to locate them but they were only heads bobbing in large rip chop. Basically he went for a long swim and the Coast Guard did the heavy lifting. They were there fast and I can guarantee if they didn't show and do they're thing, buy the time Mitch pulled his head out of his @ss and found them there would have been one possible fatality. One guy was in shorts. All hail the CG!

The swimmers look forward to rescues anyways, they get tired of training in the bays. Thank God the CG is there to rescue us from our own stupidity.
