August....the kookiest month by far.

It's that time again, the last gasp of summer slop. When the valley swelters in muggy, sweaty desperation and you feel the fun account drained to it's last penny.

Don't worry, next month is all about books and seating assignments.

Paddle hard bitches!

nice mellow evenings all week at the central coasts biggest social gathering and only predictable break.

plenty of waves for those willing to paddle regardless of board size, saw nice rides from all sorts of folks.

some harbor porpoises came in to frolic and feed off the jetty... put down my fishing rod and just watched them for a couple hours.

Fun account drained…….. gloomy and gut high. Glassy, but gutless. Racy at times, walk the plank, stand up straight like yo shite don’t stank. Bored with the LB maintenance sessions at the summer sand annex. Need some shred waves. Sun was out back in the valley! Hasn’t really been that hot this summer, so bring it, we’ll take it. Post surf back yard longing mo beta, bring on Septemba.

Surfed Sat & Sun at the Epicenter...
Sat - leashless lefts towards B-Straubs...
Sun - bigger, junkier, and warbly...
But surfed the Eagle then the Genius...
All in all, fun in the fog & the sun.

Saturday was fun. WC made it out. Ended up finding a spot on the inside that was actually breaking fully. Afternoon session much smaller and provided 3 second rides before flattening out. At least it was sunny all day...

Surfable summertime softness...
9 foot 8 inches of board was enough...
Glassy, smooth lefts and rights...
Clumsy when I first got out...
And had to swim on my 2nd wave...
Then found my foot grip...
No more swimming.

Looks like the gray summer is going to turnaround tomorrow. 96 in the Val on Sat and 75 on the coast?

Yesterday produced some fun glassy wind swell on the North Coast. Nice little walls until the tide sucked out all the way out.
