Not to take anything away from the guys that tow there often and on big days, but I have thought many times that the days the event has been held in the past wasnt beyond paddle conditions. To have the main organizer say it is a world class tow spot, well, I guess it would need to have world class size to prove it. To have it all come down to a paddle contest now just kind of shows that for a majority of people, when compared to the top big wave surfers, their paddle surf sessions are what we all would want to be towed into. Their paddle sessions are out of our league.
