How did they feel about being pushed around by your feet?

it felt fine about my numb feet, it was the rocks that pissed it off today.

Sunny, light offshores, long period swell and the surf was dogshit.

Got up...
Loaded the 9'8"...
(forecast was 5')...
Went to work...
Looked at cams...
Continued to work...
Looked at cams...
Rechecked forecast...
Looked at cams...
Ate lunch...
Looked at cams...
Rechecked forecast...
Did some work...
Drove to beach...
Confirmed forecast & cams...
Called wife...
Me: "How are you doin'?"...
Her: [Lots of stuff I don't remember because I was watching the incoming sets]...
Me: "Um...think I might go surfing"...
Her: "You have your board with you?"...
Me: "Well....yeh." [duh!]...
Her: "So...you were planning on surfing then?" [not actually a question]...
[I understand subtleties...sometimes]...
Me: "Planning...um...uh...mmmm..."
Her: "Have fun"...
I did...
Sunny, warm, uncrowded, loggable shorties...
No leash to start...
Then after 3 swims...
Roped up...
Small but pretty hollow & thumpy...
Got out at 1pm...
Dead low at 3pm...
Not memorable...
Aside from being blinded by the sun in December...
I'll take it.

Stupid quote of the day:
it's more dangerous to drive on icy roads. You have to drive on the icy roads. You don't have to surf in the ocean.

Nice LB conditions at a n. coast cove that hasn't been a media darling as of late. Glassy, clean lefts and rights with lined up shoulders for plenty of tip time. Could've sworn it was summer, but the lack of bikinis, beers, hot rocks, and crowds reminded me of today's date.

Good cold fun out there today, smiles all around. Hope to get one more before I have to pack it up for Hawaii next week.
