It happened to me.
No really...
Singer Island Florida.
Paddling out to the 3rd reef.
Very low tide. As I passed the second reef my board got stuck on the reef momentarily...or so I thought.
After one wave outside I coudl tell something was wrong and turned the board over to examine the fins. I figured I must have messed a fin up on the shallow second reef.
Nope.
right there on the end of my pintail there was a nearly perfect bite mark. Not big, maybe 4-6" across.
I figured the shark took a swipe at my feet (a common instance in Florida) and got the tail of my board instead.
true story. Thogh it is not on the internet. Well...it is now I guess....
