Because there's supposed to be an East wind with surf under 10 foot. Of course, it's all pure conjecture. Yesterday's forecast called for sunny & 70 on Monday only to replaced with a rain & 56 update tody. It's hailing now.

Found some waves yesterday. Some head high drops. Glassy and uncrowded. April is already 2x better than March water time.Hopefully there will be more surf days from here on out.

I followed Slimvest and ended up conversing with a Chilean chap he made nice with in a non existent line up. I blew a ton of drops and exhausted my interpretive skills.

The next day Slim faded me in the lot and discouraged, I drove home. Upon arrival I received notice that it glassed off and he had just had the best surf of life.

Fortunately I was at the skatepark when said glass off occured, not on 26 and decided to give it another looksy before bailing home, only to find Slim grinning from ear to ear. So I got to have a little post-skate cool down. However, unlike Slim I did not have the surf of my life. Still it was worth it.

I'm following that guy for awhile... until his luck runs out, at least.

Spent the last 4 days up in WA. Surfed a spot I hadnt got in 13 years. Didnt even recognize the trail anymore but it was breaking top to bottom and we had it all to ourselves. Nothing like a thursday afternoon session to manage the parking.

also got a couple solo sessions on one of my fav point breaks....last spot I surfed with my brother before he passed two years ago, definitely felt like he was sending me the swell.

Got a ton of sun, waves, Raniers, good times.

How about these:

1. Peaking
2. Crumbling
3. Close Outs (dumping)
4. Barreling
5. Ankle breaker or snappers

When I refer to top-to-bottom, I mean that the wave is not really barreling but it is definitly throwing the lip creating a much more vertical as opposed to a sloping wave.

That's the way I see it anyway.

Where is everyone? Last two sessions has just been me and the boys. Seems Oregon surf is as dead as the OSP... Can't complain. Its giving me ample space to find my feet again. Anyone else feeling a tad nauseous after surfing recently? Seems like a lot of sh*tty run off out there...
