To the person that grabbed my board on Sunday as it was floundering around against the cobblestones near a well known break:

Thank you. Only a minor ding, fins intact.

To the surfers that saw me making the marathon swim in:

Thank you for paddling by and checking on me and asking if I needed assistance. I was pretty smoked by the end and hadn't had to make a swim like that in a long time. I was tempted to take the last guys offer to rest on his board for a second, but I knew I needed to take care of myself and drive on.

Reminder to all: Change your leash and the cord that connects it to your board out every year. I get a new leash every year, but failed to change that little cord that connects the leash to the board. Dumb mistake, won't happen again.

Yeah. I woulda' punched it or bit a chunk out of it but Chief "Whatchmafuk" was standing there giving me the evil eye so I just tossed it up on the rocks.
