If you really surf, tell about it here.

Went to Barview Jetty last Friday morning- offshore and really hollow but closeouts. Ended up at Shorties with the usual kook-brigade...

I'm sure others have caught it but I haven't gotten Barview good in over 2 years...depressing. I don't check as often as I used to since I'm not working on the coast currently...also depressing. But I love that wave when it works.

I caught it working once over the summer- wasn't peeling right off the jetty but maybe 20-30 yds north. Seriously fun wave, but driving from the valley it's a crap shoot to go out of the way to check it.

Walked past that putrid dead seal and nearly lost my banana. Got dive bombed by an eagle who mistook me for a wounded seagull. Pulled in on one and took a rail to the head. Got shaka from Francis.

Did someone remove the pic of big Westport for some reason??

Anyway, this place provided me with lots of fun and a few thrashings back when I owned a house here.
Used to break good this time of year too.

Take care.

Super fun waves yesterday at Shorties- got some head-high-plus sets that were firing.
