I was hoping you could inform me.

Anyway, skatepark = I win. Me, thats who.

I'll drive two hours from my Occupy Camp only to find crap surf at PC. Not having the gas money (spent it all on weed) to drive any further, I'll remember PC has a new dreamland skatepark, skateboarding is better than surfing and skateboarders are more fun to hang out with than surfers. I'll just go there instead and probably have a better time than I would scrapping with MCDing for mediocre surf. I win. And you do to.

I'm not opposed to a skate park.

The proposed location would eliminate the campsites at the County Campground thereby eliminating affordable competition to the privately owned Kiwanda RV Resort. I'm concerned that money that has been raised for the skate park is being used to finance the Moments "Surf Team". Save your gas Spent. Buy more pot. Stay home and grind curbs.

Well if they're snaking donations to 'finance' a team thats some BS but I doubt that's happening. That shop has a lot to gain from the skatepark.

Where are all the "kids" if not in PC? Is "kids" just code for tweeners who refuse to grow up and pay full price
to feed the Pelican empire? I wasn't aware that the skatepark would be taking out the county campground...then again,
where else would you put a public skatepark in PC if not on county owned land? Is the Moment surf team made up of kids? Kids who skate? Pass the vape and let's muse the day away...A skatepark in PC would be a win for me and anyone else who wants to be a "kid".

I would definitely take my kids to the skate park down there. We have hit almost every park in the state. Bonus to get am surf/pm skate sessions in one general location.

A couple of things I want to make clear:

1. Locals should decided the type of economic development they want to pursue for their community. It sounds like the locals do not agree on a single path forward or at least Lowel, you don't agree with the Moments approach.

2. Public land should always be protected/leveraged in a way that benefits all users.

3. Public/Private partnerships could be the best way to ensure camping remains an option. I am still bummed the campgrounds at SS have been shut down. Many many memories camping there as a grom.

4. Pot is smoked at every skate park I have ever taken my kids to, it should not be seen as a barrier to local kids using the new skate park.

5. Lowel, your definition of kids is very confusing....once that gets ironed out, we can have a more substantive dialogue because I would imagine there a are a ton of kids in PC who would be super stoked to have a skatepark over a campground in a town they live in and never camp at.

I have been talking to a few here in the know (PC Locals). There's an alternative being put forward by a group of citizens. Makes more sense. I'll find the link and post it later. Nice try spent.
