i think i've surfed three times in 2016. might be an all time low for me. to think twenty years ago i was surfing daily....

Best not to dwell on the past, been there done that too. Life is a canvas and your the painter. Don't feel to bad though I've only have 6 days on the calendar. Some years I average 12 by now.

Rip corded out of a meeting early yest to catch the last few hours of light. Not great mostly drops and DTL, but got one good section that allowed a critical turn and warranted my decision of paddling out on my HPSB. Otherwise coulda rode the HP groveler and been fine even with the size. Got burned at least 4 times, but didn't burn anyone. Shed a mill of rubber for the 1st time since early fall. Water and air was warm. Wind calm and felt and smelt like the 1st or 2nd swell in Oct. 2 seshies in one week and after working my @ss off and limited windows the last few months I’ll take it!

March wind patterns are typically west or all 3 onshore directions in one day, but hoping we see finally some benefit of El Nino surfwise this spring. Otherwise good riddance when little f@#kers gone.

I'm not killing it this year but quality has definitely made up for quantity.

I'm with you Spent - 20 years ago I lived 3 blocks from my homebreak and could get a pre and post-work sesh in and rarely even bothered with it on the weekends. Still stoked though - at least I can still get after it, even if it is further and fewer.

Oh, I'm not dwelling. just saying... actually not too concerned. seems with surfing the more i do it the more i want to do it. the less i surf, the less i care....

been getting plenty of solid skate sessions and dare i say, a bit of time with snowbrewce... to tide me over...

Wow. Been almost as fickle as the surf since Dec. At least for snow surfing. Lotsa precip forcasted for the beginning of the month, but over it unless it gets cold again.

Got buzzed by a drone at SS Wed eve. Surf was pretty much crap too. Lame.

Yest was pretty fun. Woulda liked a bit more punch in the swell, but cant complain it was shredable on the HP groveler. Sun was out.
