i'll save it for a bracing east wind day but without having worn it it seems lighter than my infinitis. i'm really not picky with wetsuits and tend to wear them until they're pretty f*cked...

edit.

just tried it on. holy crap is stretchier than my infinity. hard to get through the neck but once in, its so comfortable.

went for a pint in it down the scoreboard (sorry if you saw me jogging down division in my new wetsuit) seems to fit nicely and handled the light drizzle really well. they wouldn't serve me at the bar but i thought the suit complemented my figure just fine.

might try surfing in it.

I wear an all-black Quiksilver Syncro 5/4 non-hooded that I bought from Cleanline about a year ago for around $175. Since I'm still a novice, I haven't had much experience wearing other wetsuits, so I don't know if the one I have is comparatively good or bad, but it's seemingly held up and keeps me warm enough to stay out up to three hours or so when I go out. So at this point, no complaints.

No frills. 100% Yamamoto Japanese rubber no smooth skin. Been wanting to try the Yamamoto but cant afford to throw down in an Issurus or Axe.

You dialed in the all black BOX...... but get a hood dude (and ear plugs). Trust me. Protect your ears. Unless you want the chisel or even worse the drill!

I hear ya, Major (at least I can right now... :D )

Wished I had a hood on this past weekend. Getting my head dunked under was cold enough, but when that wind catches you just right... brrrrrr.... My ears were aching for hours afterwards. Went online that night and started pricing hoods.

One time we scored HEAVY shorepound in Brookings....it was a shitshow, had the rail of the board smack me directly in the ear, ruptured eardrum in the lineup....damn near thought I was bleeding out of my earhole....then went back and surfed the next day like a dummy

I had this same experience except I was on a LB surfing some tiny bumps. I sunk the rail on a lazy cross step, fell, and hit the rail on the side of my head. When I popped up I knew something was off. Paddling back out was really strange because the horizon kept tilting back and forth. It took a few days before I realized what had happened. I thought it just a bump to the head but when I kept having to turn my right ear to hear a conversation I guessed something was amiss with my ear canal. A Dr. visit later and bingo! Ruptured eardrum confirmed.
