a 6/5/4 Hyperflex that has colors....unreal. Pricing seems fair.

Been rocking some old Hotline back ups since loosing my booties. Got a deal earlier in the week on the 5mil Drylock split toe from Moment at 20% off. They showed up within 2 days. Out of the box not as comfy as Hotlines. They fit kinda to snug, but may stretch out a little. After 1st surf with not a ton of wave time they seem to have a nice board feel. No leakage and pretty warm. We'll see about durability. Hope to get a few years if not more out of them.

Need to replace my current suit which is going on 2 years now and approx 80 to 90 sessions. Although the ONeil Psycotechs and the TB 3 have been money for me last 6 years or so, contemplating some Japanese prene. Perhaps an Issurus?

For those on a budget I can highly recommend Needs Essentials. I picked up a 4/3 a few months back and its been as good as my Infinitis. I can't really attest to durability yet but so far so good.

Might pick up the 'ultra premium' hooded 4/3 for the Fall.

Think a 4/3 will cut it? Interesting no smooth skin. Good for flex maybe not so good for wind? Looked at these and price is right, but not sure I'd gamble for primary suit. Lots of sales out there right now as the 2020-2021's come in.

Sept- Dec I wear 4/3s a fair bit. I don't get as cold as some people though.

Bought a Xcel 5 1/2, 4 1/2 CompX last January from Seaside Surf Shop. Presently has about 40-50 surfs with no sign of deterioration. Seams intact, no tape coming unglued. I like the absence of smooth rubber. Super warm (too warm sometimes) The most lightweight and flexible suit I’ve owned in over 40 years of surfing on the Oregon coast. Easy to get in and out of and dries in a jiffy.

Good to know...... found them for a steal at 286! Didn't realize those were made with Japanese rubber.

I guess with the interior liner you can get away with no smooth skin. I like the concept, but always thought the smooth skin was essential for blocking the wind which is almost always prevalent when I surf esp those clod Winter easties. I'll take your word for it though.

I like the nylon outside because the stitching is inside and outside the suit, as opposed to the smooth rubber with the stitching only on the inside. Always had a problem with the seams pulling apart. The old Hotlines I wore in the 80’s and 90’s lasted a long time but were stiff as a board. The Xcel is super flexible. Makes me feel 10 years younger ;)

Howly not sure what ya mean by codepiece..... Psycotecs are dope suits esp if purchased on sale at 20 to 30 percent off. I find they fit the stocky and Dad bod types quite well and durability has been quite good.

CompX on order and we'll see about fit. Hard to beat the price.

Anyone have experience with Feral wetsuits out of SF? I like the price point and the minimal branding but wonder about quality of stitching/construction: https://feralsurfing.com/collections/we ... oded-654mm
