If you know you know..... only one stretch of beach with that bathymetry between the Columbia River and Cape Blanco. Unfortunately that characteristic makes it a pretty sharky local. One of my all time favs, but never relaxed when I surf it.

Timmy seems to now spend several months a year living on the Oregon coast when most pros are in HI. I've seen him eat up the shifty beachies and he charges slabs at a size I've mind surfed from the car park.

December was damn fun. Living in the past right now cause surf has been evading me this month.

Yeah per thread title Dec.... calm constant HP meant things had time to settle. Not to mention those east winds make magic out of avg sand piles. I heard thru the doug fir wireless, but was on to 2 nice banks (one all time sand point right hander) closer to home. But you know how it goes, here today gone tom.......

Kinda bummed I didn't hit those spots up. Heard from like 15 people how much those spots in the next locale up were firing. Felt like a lot of people were hyping it up to be cool and in the know. I see now that I probably should have sacrificed at least one session to check it out at least. I opted to surf SB and this other spot that rarely gets surfed. Can't complain though cause everywhere was good. Spent came down and can attest.

I think Prag said he talked to 15 people about how those spots were doing during that period not that there were 15 people out at any one time. I only ever saw a handful of heads out max.

Yeah, over the course of that week I heard from a bunch of people how good it was. Over half of them couldn't surf it anyways which made it suspect as to why they were blabbing about it.

Haha funny where this thread has gone overtaking lack of any good Feb reports.

Tex you love Shorites right?? 15 heads would be a quiet day down there....... often shoulder to shoulder from north end to south these days and it often sucks.

Last Tuesday- Had a peak to myself down Shorties and it was pretty damn good. I don't go down there as much these days but glad I did that day.
