Did you see the one where Ben hiked down the mountain to surf the rocks?

Hey, that bridge looks familiar...

I've never surfed under the bridge, although I've seen others do it. Everyone makes it look so easy, but I'm guessing by this guy's level of stoke that it's probably actually pretty tough. Frankly, at my level I'm afraid of wiping out and hitting some of those big rocks on the bottom. I split my lip open pretty badly once introducing my face to the sand at Agate, so since then I've been a bit leery about surfing around rocks and such until I get some more balance & control. But I have to admit, every time I see one of those long, rolling waves pass under the bridge, I think about trying it...

Nah, that spot is so mellow BOX. It's a good beginner spot. The only rocks that stick out are right by the shore so you can just ride the peak that breaks further away. Just mind the current. Surprised he didn't surf the other novelties.

What the hell is NUB nation?

Looks like he scored some good ones at boiler.

Rogue is the worst. Well, Dead Guy is decent. For sure, none of their beer is worth a $2 mark up. Pretty sure they block other breweries from opening here. There is a new brewery that just opened called Wolf Tree. I hear they make super hoppy brew which is a bummer. When will that fad finally end?

@ ML Where did you see Boiler waves?

Yeah...I am not sure what "Nub" Nation stands for....all I can say is this guy Ben is seriously stoked on any type of wave. I was actually shocked he climbed the rocks at the spot in WA to get that sloppy left. Playing with Sea Lions....been there...no bueno.

If he only had like 15 more hours, he could have gotten some sweet nugs in the SoJDF.

Ha, pra! I mentioned that one in the other thread before I saw this. I've heard good things. I had a sample once at an event here in town and I didn't think it was that bad. And for the record, I'm not much of a fan of super quintupled hops brews, either.
