Ha so true..... 49 days. Often surf double sessions when the opportunity presents itself so without looking at last years calendar's notes, lets say around 65-70 sessions. I've had years where surf days were in the high 200's with many HQ sessions. That was the dream.

But yeah on topic...... picked up a 22oz of IPA from North Jetty brewing. Guess its up there in Warshington Cape D\Long Beach zone. Nothing special IMO. To malty and almost amber is color. I'll pass next time. Pretty addicted to my buddies beer right now. Great Notion..... good shite. But that's not coastal so back off topic

Buoy all the way. Although I've cut way way back on my beer intake over the last couple years. Much prefer an Old Fashioned or Manhattan with Bulliet bourbon or rye.

As far all the Cal talk... yeah... born and raised in SoCal but been up here 13 years now. Definitely miss all my old spots (someone was talking sesh count? I'm betting my late 90's days in HB topped 200 a year, easy.)

Not hating on PDX just yet but after a week in the desert east of San Diego I forgot how nice winters down there can be. The market is still way way higher than PDX, unless you want to live in Riverside or San Berdo county (strictly talking SoCal). I wouldn't go near there.

You're still gonna pay a million+ for a 1400 sq ft ranch fixer anywhere within 4 miles of the beach in SD, OC, or LA county. Might be able to get a townhouse in 800-1200 sq ft range in the same locales for under 600k but you can count on tacking a 200-400/month HOA on top of your mortgage. Point being Portland is a relative bargain still when you really look at everything the area has to offer. Doesn't mean much if you still can't afford it though...

Back to beer...

pretty sure all the coast beer has been covered (but i wouldn't know). might as well talk about the valley beer. i wonder how block 15 is holding up, i enjoyed their beer the most before i moved.
i always curious about rogue being so far from the rogue river, ashland makes sense.

Ha yeah doesn't take long to cover coast beer. :D

Buoy good, Ft George better....... eiter way Astoria's on the map.

SoCal Real estate.... last recession was a good time to get in down there. Buddy got a nice little place in Leucadia in the tortilla flats zone for 600's. 3 bedroom, nice back yard, close to all the spots. Oceanside's prob still around that. Traffic is gnar if you have to commute, but wait traffic is gnar here too.

First beer in about a month. It was a Pelican Pilsner and it was pleasantly pedestrian on the pallet.

What was that all about? Did you guys session his bowl? Drinking good beer at a backyard bowl is the nectar of the gods.

It was all about happy hour drinking at a beer garden bar with Murdey, no skateboarding.
