Boards and Brews

Postby Tex » Fri May 04, 2018 12:42 pm

Has anyone been to Up North Surf Club? Right on Killingsworth in NE PDX. I had just come out of a family counseling sesh.....14 year old boys will do that to you ;) and stumbled across this place. Actually hung out with the owner for a bit. Really mellow spot, they sell boards and gear and brew. I dont drink anymore but if I did, it would be my local watering hole for sure. They have a few Album boards in there that made me drool.

Yeah. It’s down the street from my place so I get up there for a brew every now and then. Nice addition
to the hood and Martin is a chill cat at that.

Haven't been yet, but everyone keeps asking me if I have. Although I pass it when I go to the beach, it's not on my usual routes where I stop for beers every now and again. I do hit the OG PDX surf bar Mauis on occasion though. Some pretty cool old boards and skate decks hanging from the ceiling and $3.50 HH pints are the best deal in town I know of. The last dive bar in the NE Williams\Vancouver zone as well.

Wonder if Up North Surf Club would do a show/exhibit with stuff with MC's portfolio?

Still haven't even made it to the Cat's Paw let alone Up North. I drink alone in the attic.
