Here is to hoping the OSP scores mad April sessions before the swell bottoms out for the summer. Seems to me April can be a real crapshoot round these parts.

You know its Spring when a 5 at 15 clocks in at chest high. Cove sandbar is about the worst I've seen it.......

Sandbars ain't too great at any of the North Coast usuals. Managed to find a few decent waves over the weekend but man it was a struggle. I've had amazing Springs in Oregon... let's hope this one starts to shape up...

There are some decent bars out there at the right tides and windows, but always hard to dial from valley.

My experience has been hit or miss with Spring surf. Last year was very good so don't expect this to be the same. Best to pull the trigger on a ticket to Mex. Wish I could....

Sure but not as can be. Was a real nice window Sat afternoon but short lived.

Speaking of Mex... if the border is open... I'll be walking over in early May...

Although nice when it happens never been a fan of early Spring surf. May to early June can be a bit better once the weather settles in to a sustained pattern. Zero seshies here. Had my gear loaded up early last week for an after workey but no goed it in the end. My god it's been WET AF.

way north cam indicates a beautiful start to April but almost 10 surfers on the peak, interesting being a Monday and all.

Mondays don't mean much these days..There are enough surfers out there and work schedules have changed. Combined with ease of access there, conistancy in a fickle zone, and a cam that allows for monitoring of current sand bar it's not surprising. Prob the main reason I am not as motivated to make the long trip up there these days. Last time I was at that spot 5 or so years ago there were 50 heads either in the lineup or on the beach with boards.

The spot my buddy lives on used to not have any public access. It is a point that has a single spot for takeoff. Over spring break at max height it probably got shoulder high and there were 12 dicks in the water. We didn't even kayak over there. Apparently no one even tries to implement a line-up methodology either which makes zero sense. Funny how the Libtech guys try to claim it as their local spot....even to guys that literally live on that beach.
