Ryan Burch? Ryan Lovelace? Ryan Sakal? Or keeping it local with Ryan LeBoss?

Yep. Same exact stock dims too. One of a kind I was told, rails painted by Matts daughter Ryder. Guessing she did a handful of them. Was such a sick board for me and Boregon waves and almost grabbed it, but in the end figured it would just continually remind me of the original that got lifted. Made it through the last 5 months with 3 boards no problem and just 2 on a 2 week surf trip in November, but damn I miss that board and still miffed someone lifted it off my buddies property in falcon in broad daylight. Not to mention 8 hundy down the drain plus fins :x

Such a bunk move. Hopefully down the road the board circles back to you and it makes for a good story. Actually went to Gorge to scope the doppelganger. Serial number was one off- 3877 or something like that-- so must've been off the same production line. I feel bad for whoever buys it, since they're sure to get hassled by your crew up & down the coast.

I found a 5'10" quad fish for $100. Thinking about grabbing it as the only other thing I have is the log and want to get a little more maneuverability and not have to drag that thing everywhere. Any thoughts? I know it's only $100, so why not, but want to get a little insight on what folks thought. About 31L, for 5'8" 165lbs

Quad fish are a staple daily driver design and scale up and down esp for Boregon waves. I've had one in my quiver since the mid aughts, a 6' Shuler I loved and now a 5'9" I shaped based on a Pavel Rainbow Fish template. A magic board for going backside on those wedgy sometimes dumpy lefts at Shateys. Board is currently retired to the rafters ay our house back in the Ocean State and goes great there in summer wind swell, when I am back. Currently caught up in twin fish hype and TBH feel like it might be a disadvantage in waves mentioned above and certainly miss that trusty now dusty magic home shape

As far as dims for your heigh and weight, Id say that sounds like plenty of foam. Id just make sure its not a hack job garage shape and feels legit on inspection. Fins can sometimes be a little tricky with quads esp if you are new to them, but I prefer more upright templates that pivot vs track which a keel like template will do. Some say the bigger controller templates work well in wide tails, but a mediu ish Stretch template has been magic in mine. I do like that skatey feel though.

Appreciate the help. Unfortunately that board got swooped. It was a Gary Hanley shaped for Mollusk. So now on the hunt for something similar-ish. Looking to get something shorter before my sabbatical in August.
