C'mon Spent- tell us a story about this decision to bail on the OSP after all these years!

Yeah- exactly, not sure I would be able to pick you out at the beach Spent....you will recognize me because of my geriatric pops.

ML- love that little tag line you added to the bottom of your posts, a reminder of what a happening spot this used to be.

Was going to send you a DM, Spent, but apparently I can't so I'll just post this publicly and, really, the invitation is open to all:

If anyone's ever hanging around the central coast feel free to shoot me a message. I’m totally down to meet up. I’m for real not that skilled of a surfer, so I won’t take it personally if you go off and do your own thing before/after but if anyone ever wants to meet in real life and do the handshake thing and all that, I’m all for it.

I ride a light blue/teal 7’6” egg shape funboard. It was a beginner custom for a fellow OSPer who was kind enough to sell it to me earlier in the year (thanks!!!). If you see a 5’11’’, 165-pound average-looking dude with a short, graying beard riding something like that on the central coast please feel free to say hello. Hopefully it will be me.

See you all in the water and take care, Spent.

Perhaps the better question is why do the rest of us stay? Personally, it’s because I don’t like faceblah or instascam and the only real reason to log onto twatter is because doc posts there from time to time. I’ve also learned quite a bit from you guys and thank you, Spent, for being a part of that. I, for one, will miss your visceral and eloquently written posts that you inevitably delete an hour later.

Come back any time obviously, but until then Rip, Ride, Die.

I agree with you Howly- I like the long form and the dialogue here feels genuine. We cover the good, the bad and the ugly. I was going back through the Members list above last night and there were so many people telling great story over the years. I am also amused when we get new folks that have moved to Oregon who somehow found this dusty outpost. New perspectives are always welcome, it makes the OSP a better place. Spent- you are a pillar of the OSP, you cannot be replaced, I will also very much miss your contributions. The door is always open bro.

I wonder if the PC SkatePark thread contributed to Spent bailing

Not getting the "NALU Nation" reference but we did end up listening to Johnny Cash and Metamodern Sounds of Country Music most of the way back to the Valley.
