I had an old 80s Caster thruster. Apparently Caster was one of the masters of channel design in the 80s. Board was pretty sweet, typical 80's thruster, with glass on fins too. I surfed it here and there locally and noticed it was pretty fast for a thruster, but also had that flat 80's style rocker that so many boards have currently. Not sure if that contributed to the built in speed? Went pretty well at say HH-OH Shorties. That is my only real experience with channel bottoms and nothing I am against but not really seeking out, but perhaps they provide a little more bite with a twin or quad set up. Scott's boards have been looking really nice and he's not a whinny beoch like Biolos.

OK he kinda cleared the water in this podcast:

Check out Covid Chronicles Ep 1.

That said found Sals more interesting. Covid Chronicles Ep 3. Funny how political surfing has gotten recently.

Nice yeah I don't really do surf podcasts, but that one was good. Maybe its cause how political things have gotten with beach closures and stuff.

Anyways back to channel bottoms. Came across this:

Dims are to pinner for me, but nice looking channel bottom priced right.

Had a Team Low Tech Cort Gion probably 10yrs back now. Not sure what the board was really made for. Went okay. Think I had a couple fun rights in the cove. It was wide and flat up front but with a channeled tail. Groveller up front and action in the back. Mine was a 6'0 and said "speed kills" on the stringer.
