Ben Gravy passes through the Anarchist Jurisdiction......

en route to big wave training. Jump to 8:49 for the touchdown at PDX and name the tagged up street at 10:35. Otherwise this should be interesting.

That was crazy to see him on Alberta right? What if we had been getting coffee that morning?? Say what up to the youtube surfing sensation. LOL.

Too bad they couldn't make it outside. Long trip to get skunked.

Someone's getting towed into that wave right now as I type. Don't know if it's Ben Gravy or not. I'm stuck at work watching the live cam :|

Funny, 40,000 soft top chargers are thinking the same thing right now. But yes, Tex, I believe in your dreams :)

And good for BG for sacking up. I’m assuming he’s still there— praise rescinded if he already left. Proper swell(s) in the water today. Will be fun to watch the features over the next few days. Funner to surf if you have the means.

i mean is there a mellower "legit" big wave spot than Nelscott? If I had to pick any spot to do my first tow, I would look for a 10-12 foot day out there to give it a rip.

No problem, Tex :D

Watching people paddle in at the moment. Looks like a handful of heads in the water with jet skis on standby. Two dudes just took on a massive party wave. Pretty gnarly stuff, at least to this kook

I hope Gravy at least picked up a cup of real coffee while he was in the Juris. He's always drinking that Wawa coffee, which has got to be east coast schwag :D

Paddled "the Gravy Swell" yesterday  granted it was just starting to build at a beach away from the Gravy Train. Still it was kinda bombing esp in the afternoon when it hit 6@24. Looks like heavy water out there today and butter glass on the Reef. The chargers got to be hyped.

Laird Hamilton shows up to foil the damn thing a few short months ago and no one bats an eye. Ben Gravy shows up with a soft top and gets the swell named after him... such is is the state of surfing in 2020.

But at least Ben got tubed on that soft top.

And this particular swell is definitely worth a name (at least in the PNW). Reef guys (and gal) are buzzzzzin on the rare occasion. 10/10, they say. Best day in 5 years they say... Sure looked it! Leveled up surfing in pristine conditions? Yessir. Made it look deceptively easy, but that's a testament to the work and patience of that crew. 100% stoked for them and excited to see more up close footage from the usual suspects on the gram.

PS Wawa coffee is a point of pride for the Keystone state and ostensibly for New Jersey. But so is ditch weed, so take that as you will. Plus it's probably better for BG's everyman brand to stick with the schwag, rather than that fancy boy stumptown kind.

Haha. Was there even swell when Liard was here? Wasn't it still summer? Or maybe Oct, which was basically summer this year. Footage I saw was at beach break and he totally outran the barrel on that foil. It looked like at least.....

There was something in the water, nothing too memorable... somewhere in the ballpark of 8 @13 I think?. A buddy of mine was surfing near the staging area and Laird cruised by "mean mugging" him. Pretty sure it was just Resting Laird Face, but funny to picture nonetheless.

Black dot moving through the gulf tonight. Buckle up.
