Gas Prices

Postby Major Lazer » Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:12 am

Spendy and keep going up. Not complaining given the circumstances, but further insult to injury for the average joe valley haolie. 70 bones to fill the 4 banger family sedan with .30 cents off via Freddies rewards, which gets me 2 trips to NoCo spots. Wish you saved your Biden handouts for gas $ vs YOLOs? Will this be a form of crowd control? Will you settle for less and carpool with your besties? Will the cargo van conversion crowd be stopped in their tracks? At least plane tickets to the tropics are still reasonable with south swell season out da back 8)

But did you score?

Might cramp your style considering the further location of your go-tos, but that said single day there & backs while doable, are probably not your norm. I have to agree that the multi day post up is best bang for buck and less likely to get skunked given more time to tune in to what's on tap.

Found cheaper gas prices in Sandy this weekend. With .80 cents off via Freddie's rewards got it down to 3.63 and filled up.

Just about 4 bones a gallon here in SW Florida. Not a bad place to Spring Break once you get here. Won't be driving much.... less than 5 miles from county park beach and 10 to another state park we like. Flat as a pancake thou. Have fun up north.

Im sure. Maybe not so obscene now a days. Doubt you were driving to far for surf, like 225+ kilometers for one sesh. I mean how far can you really drive back there before hitting the other side of the isle?

4 banger family sedan has been crushing it around 34 mpg. Glad I kept my studs on. Filled up in Sandy again, almost 20 cents cheaper than in New Jack City. Who needs a lesburu, SUV, EuroWagon or 4X Sprinter :?:

Astrodeck... Front foot traction... will slow Putin down.

Tried that once in the early 90s... one wettie free session and I scraped that shite right off again...

Maybe for OR? But reminded myself what rear traction does to haole skin in HI. Seems to get the inside my rear knee rubbing it raw on pop ups. Picked up a new pair of 21" boardies for next tropo trip. Hopefully between that and some preventive suave, I wont have to deal with the issue.

The old lady wants to go halves on a sedan. More fuel efficient whip for day trips is appealing, but I'm wondering what add ons it might need to truly enhance my surf experience? I asked some bros on the trail to shorties...
