In an effort to connect with the OSP in person during sessions, I figured I would share a pre SoJDF sesh selfie from the spring season. Looking forward to seeing you all on the trail this June/July/Aug, mostly mid days Sat and Sun with just my closest friends.

I'll have my hoodless 4 mill on, surf hat, no booties, Go Pro in my mouth, Go Pro on my board, Torq funboard with Cleanline stickers. Always post up at 2nd with my dog and bae who films me from land. I'll be sipping on hazy ipas.

Pay your tidings to Notorious AEP and you can do whatever you want down at the Short Sands cove.

Not vlogin yet Tex. But we out there. Always storying "the lifestyle" on the instabrag tagging and promoting our favorite boards, gear, coffee, and shops. Letting everyone know back home how free we are living this new PNW outdoor surf life.

Speaking of vlogs somewhere between Gravy and Illusion. PNW edition........ kids from your hometown Tex.

Caught a quick one in before work with a favorable window of tides, conditions, and parental
duties. Once again location and conditions called for the 6'9" Sultwinn though an LB was a popular
option in the line up. Winds were light, sun was out and swell was pretty damn fun albeit a tad
soft when there weren't sets rolling thru. HT was flooding the rights on the inside so a solid drop
resulted in 2-3 turns before the shoulder disappeared. The lefts were another story. I tickled into a
HH++peeler that took me to down to Ave U. Had to Uber back to the lot and into the rip for more
free refills.
Really fun sash for two hours before winds picked up and shifted on shore.

Chabrah! Gotta love da close easy ones 8) Best bang for you buck mileage and gas wise. Was wachin...... one of those days where the big HT put the hot action in view. Looked like some looong glassy lazy ones just peeeeeling. Boards are dewaxed, so been off da radar this week if not all month with da epic white waves.

Last April was mobetta for oregunsarf: http://www.oregonsurf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13480&start=105&hilit=Vax+Session But .56"s of rain last April is no bueno. Breaking records this year!!! Water is life!

Vaya Con Dios Amigos!!! 8)

Pulled the evening shift at Short Sands yesterday-- knew what I was in for soon as I stepped out of the rig and felt the onshore breeze, but intention wasn't so much a hunt for perfect sarf, as it was to paddle out for Ranger Dan and perhaps take the opportunity to thank the boys in brown for all the crap they deal with (literally and figuratively). But their work was done for the day, so I was left with my meditations and some junk a funk surf. Opted to mess around with my 7'1 as a single fin, although the 6'4 truster would've handled the steep shoulder-head sets better. Some surprisingly good ones in the mix with low crowd and plenty of peaks working as it glassed off. Surfed til dark and ambled back up the haunted trail.

Surfed elsewhere this morning, opting for lackluster solitude over ballbuster assurity. Soaked in the scenic spring green cliffs shimmering in the morning light as I waited on the nice little LP SW pushing through the quick rising tide. Glad I hauled the log. Nothing to write the OSP about overall, but low key, workable surf will do just fine. Namaste.
