The Line-up

We have covered the topic of the "pecking order" ...the "harrasment" ... "ejections" ... "stinkeye" ..... "locals vs non"... "who belongs in the water and who does not"... just about every available angle on the same topic.

In every case there is a contigent who claims they are above it all and chastize those of us who openly participate in such activities.

I pondered on this as I was stalking wild game this last weekend in the relentless squals.

All of those who say they do not participate are full of shite.

It is proven right here in these pages. Thread after thread of all of us jockeying for position, heckling the newbies, putting the screws to the kooks, and defending the pecking order that exists in the water if not bringing it to the internet in full.

We sit here out of the water, some miles away from it, some days upon days out of the water..and we jockey, stink eye, and heckle as if we were sitting in the line up from the comfort of our office chairs, couches, or in SooLoo's case the can @ Hug Point.

This is our Point Break.

This is our Rincon.

WE have it all here...everything you will find in any local surf spot...every character you will run into in the water..we have right here...and we battle, pat eachother on the back, abuse ourselves, or posture. harrass and jockey.

WE have ran countless newbies off the page in less than a day. Never to return. We put everyone else to the test on an almost daily basis..including subjecting ourselves to the scrutiny of the others in the line up.

Obviously....there are distinct categories in this line up..as there are anywhere........

Wilbur, I'm uncomfortable with the grouping I've been
placed in.
I'd prefer to be the "third" with ST and Cindy. Just close
the door and let us go about our business

I resemble my grouping Willy I have the disposition of the Dali Lama esp. in the water! Respectfully request to be relocated to a more appropiate set of likeminded individuals....no matter what.....oh forget it it's only on the BB sorry, my bad!

Huh. I really think of myself more as the loner group, which isn't really a group, it's just one guy, wondering if there's big critters around, hoping one of the cars with Idaho plates in the parking lot saw that last ride....
I must find these so called "Hot Shots" Erzats and the Koon, seeking them out not for their own merits, but as a barometer of my own achievements.

Considering the reputation this message board has gained me here on the home front, I think a catagory of "pariah" needs to be added. I was a loner until I realized the locals knew who I was, now I'm an outcast

I vote to create my lineup we'll call ourselves the "lost in the back in the day" and we'll ride big pintails and twin fins and only wear neon wetsuits and when we get out of the water we'll rock pink hang loose tank tops, and those funky flourescent green shorts with the pineapples on them and shot gun pbrs with a rusty nail.
