Believe it or not I got surf stoked first in Thailand though I have always lived in Oregon.

One Fat Surfer,
I am pretty sure I surfed with you at Uluwatu a couple years back. Don't you design underwear or something in Kuta Beach? Probably not you, but I definitely surfed with the guy in your avatar at Ulus and he ripped.

Surf addiction is most like crack smokin I would guess and surf spots are basically crack houses....consider The point.

P.S. - when loving one's self, is it natural to try and give one's self a "happy ending"?

I think it would be OCD, though surfing if for the laid back, so I know that sounds a bit ironic, but I think they are similar in the way they take over your mind and create a whole different set of norms and necessities. I need to surf to be sane like my mom needs to fold the towels a certain way to stay KINDA sane. haha
