5'5'' x 19 1/4 Redux - awesome...if you know and like other lost movies you'll appreciate this one. No hi-def here just smoke and beers...and some really impressive surfing. Ward, Cormican, Mason Ho, and C. Lopez are the stars among others. All the surfing is on sub 6' boards with all sorts of fin configurations w/ out any extra explanation, just experimentation.

Also, one really long wave.

The antithesis of Hydrodynamica ...if that ever comes out.

The Wrestler

Micky Rourke was perfect in this movie. I can't imagine anyone else in the part. Excellent.

but it looks kinda sharky. notice the sea lions doin' the hop to the beach? 'round here that'd be a big red flag for get outta the water.
but, 'round here, if we had a wave like that, i bet we'd take our chances.

saw The Devil Wears Prada on tv the other night. It had a lot of non-hetero attributes, but entertaining none the less.

The Miracle at St. Ana

Newest Spike Lee film about the Buffalo soldiers fighting in Italy and a whole lot more...pretty interesting twist on a war film.

just watched..

There Will Be Blood - Awesome film with an oscar winning performance by Daniel Day Lewis as an "oil man" at the beginning of the 20th century, with tunnel vision on his oil. 4 out of 5 in that it left me wanting more

The Wackness - funny and strange story of a teenage NYC dope dealer who trades weed for therapy with his therapist, and falls for the therapist's daughter. 4 out of 5 as well.

What Happens in Vegas - my wife got it and despite my heckling I watched it - pretty stupid and contrived, but funnier than I thought thanks to Rob Corddry. 1.5 out of 5

Mamma Mia - another wife choice. I hate musicals, but this was ok. I'm sure I would like it more if I could stand fricking Abba. 2 out of 5

The Dark Knight - awesome action film. Best Batman yet. Heath Ledger was awesome. Great movie to watch with the volume up loud. Good ol visceral entertainment. 3.5 out of 5

Blood Diamond - I have reluctantly come around to Leonardo Decaprio - but this movie is pretty good. Lots of action and a good story. Makes diamonds seem stupid if that is the cost. 3.5 out of 5\

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - shameless money grab. I want my 3 dollars back. I guess it's fun, but...yawn.. 1 out of 5

Baby Mama - stupid but pretty funny in an SNL/30 rock kind of way (obviously, you rent this if you like that humor). 3 out of 5

Just got Role Models in the mail.. I hear its funny.. well see.. if this clip is any indication, then bring it on...Paul Rudd is hilarious:

THE WATCHMEN. (Rated R)

Never seen a super hero movie quite like this before. I was expecting something along the lines of Spider Man but i was pleasently suprised with the goriness and blood . The movie is based on America/Soviets cold war, doomsday senerio. Good flick.

9 out of 10

very long 2 1/2 hours.

Che

Wow.

Well done.

Good movie.

Four & half hours long....two parts. If you're gonna break it up....I recommend Part I (Cuba) over Part II (Bolivia).

Watched 'What the Bleep Do You Know'. Good flick. Might be boring if you're not interested in quantum physics/mechanics.

I watched The Rockers last night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bt0hfRWSEuU&feature=PlayList&p=2C688E8D55058200&index=0&playnext=1). Great movie with good music and tons of herb smoking.

Bottle Shock.

Out on DVD now. Good flick about Napa Valley wines and the people behind it...cool 70's vibe with a ton of great actors. Didn't realize it was a true story until after I had watched the whole thing...
