1957 - Henry Fonda

Was there a version with Jack Lemmon?

Early reviews of Appaloosa from the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival were lukewarm. Brad Frenette of the National Post said "the film feels double its 114 minute running time, but Appaloosa redeems itself through unexpected moments of levity, Harris's steady direction and the god amongst men, Lance Henriksen."[7] Frenette also said Renee Zellweger is "mostly a bust"[7] and Viggo Mortensen "oozes cool."[7] Popjournalism reviewer Sarah Gopaul said Harris and Mortensen spend too much time talking and discussing their feelings, which she said made the film too light for the gritty Western genre. Gopaul said Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen delivered decent performances and that Renee Zellweger's character has more depth than the traditional romantic interest in a Western.[8] The New Yorker’s David Denby called it “a well-made, satisfying, traditionalist Western with some odd quirks and turns.”[9]-wiki

so, i'm gonna skip it.

Saw "One California Day" last night. Overall, a great flick. Not a lot of surfing but definitely some great footage mixed into various biographies. I was cool to see Dana perlee and the Nolls are up to.. Some amazing Santa barbara footage of the rivermouth and rincon. stoked that netflix had this film.

a kid gave me 300 and all the other kids told me it was soo good, but i 'bout turned it off cuzza the extreme graphic gore and soft core scene, but i toughed it out and still only give it a c-. cool special effects, but misguided.
just my opinion.
i'd prefer to watch bra boys with escondida vida. maybe the sequel...

Saw Quantum of Solace (new Bond). I have been lukewarm on bond for awhile but after seeing the last one was warming back up to it. The new bond is good, a bit rougher than previous ones. The new movie is ok but had way too many chase scenes and not enough dialogue.

rewatched "mence 2 society" and "new jack city" after many years

i miss the colorfully dressed gangsters of the late 80's and early 90's.
neither movie was very good though.
