Modern Collective is the best non-Lost surf video ever. It's filmed in an artistic style akin to the few good Transworld skate vids. Shoot, any decent artistic element is a relief for a surf vid. Also, I was previously under the impression that pro surfers refuse to be filmed unless they're guaranteed the music will suck. This exception had a pretty good track to it if you enjoy house music.

The 4th Kind
freaky, supposed to based on actual happenings, but likely far from the truth.

One of, if not, my favourite film. I watch it at least once a year.

Just watched Fantastic MR. Fox. So good. I do not watch kiddie movies very often, and I may only watch Wes Anderson ones from now on. So many levels of awesomeness. Bill Murray, Jason schwartzman, Owen W., Maryl f'n streep, G. Clooney. GEENNIOUss

Stranger than Paradise. Again, if you like Jim Jarmusch, you'll like this. It was similiar to Down By Law. This one is maybe my new favorite Jarmusch film, but Ghost Dog is hard to beat.

Whiteout, kate beckinsale (hot) is a US Marshall trying to solve a murder mystery at the South Pole. Dumber than it sounds.
Black Dynamite, excellent film, poignant portrayal of race relations... against the backdrop of the Nixon administration, addresses some of the bigger social issues of the late 60's and early 70's and gives a frame of reference for some of todays headlines.

Precious.
Great film.
Well done.
And like going to LA, it left me feeling the fate of this world and it's people is sealed and irreversible.
