imperial porter matchup: Black boss vs Black butte XX
black butte wins on initial taste, but then it loses that bourbon taste after the first couple of sips.
black boss is good for the whole pint, no bourbon taste, but sweet & flavorful all the way to the bottom.
Always been a fan of Alaskan Brewing Co. and their Alaskan Amber.
Up in Juneau, AK at the brewery you can buy a tasty dark that has been nicely aged in Bourbon casks that came from either Jim Beam or Jack Daniels after they were done with them..
Also the Smoked Porter is good, beer with a smoky alder flavour, actually smoked. Can usually get it around here in a 24oz microbrew glass, but sells out fast.
