I find your week attempt at humor....well....humorous. Not really sure if I spelled that right but you get my meaning I might assume?

Anyway

About my dad.....Well I guess you got me there.

I would tell you, that you look not unlike a knobby- kneed little girl. Clawing for balance with her silver locks twirling about when riding your fish.

But I won't.

I'm above all that.

While it hardly defines me as a man, I like to bitch slap the ladies when I have the opportunity. It titillates me.

I'm 90% sure you like boys.

I am reading:

Tragedy and Hope - by some snoby elitist professor (Carol Quigley)

The coming battle - a book about the manipulation of our financial system from the 1700's until 1899.

Oregon Ghosts and Monsters - I always loved the bandage man story and Lavender since it is from my home area.

Well, I read Life of Pi, and enjoyed it. Although Doc said it was "obvious," and I didn't think so, which makes me feel either dumb or smart, depending on whether I want to think that I didn't "get it" because I can't think, or smart because I actually thought about what it meant afterwards. Maybe I just don't have enough background knowledge in metaphysics.

I just finished reading a book called Misreading Masculinity to help me understand the male elementary students and their ubiquitous interest in violence. It also helped me understand what is going on here on the board. Since it isn't culturally acceptable for males to express affection for other males, they do it by putting each other down and acting violent towards each other. You guys--you really like each other! Don't be embarrassed, you don't have to act like you do. We all know it.

'Against The Megamachine' by David Watson.
http://bookstore.autonomedia.org/index.php?main_page=pubs_product_book_info&products_id=5
It is a collection of essays critiquing technology and 'civilization' from an anti-authoritarian perspective. Just read about the US nuclear tests on the Bikini Atoll and the consequences for the local people who were upped and moved to another island where they could not adapt their culture. It is doing my brain in.

Technology is legitimated by its search for the solutions to the very destruction it has caused.

Next up is 'Against Civilization' edited by John Zerzan. Then I will do the earth a favour and kill myself.
